Since the launch of Feonix – Mobility Rising’s services in partnership with Ford Philanthropy in October 2024, Deja has been one of our most consistent and grateful riders. She utilizes our rides to get to school, to work late-night shifts, and most importantly, to ensure her daughter arrives at school and practices safely and on time. Her commitment to her education and to being a nurturing and supportive mother is nothing short of inspiring.
But like many juggling so much, Deja has faced occasional setbacks. Earlier this year, she experienced a temporary disruption in ride scheduling that threatened to throw off her tightly managed routine. Recognizing her need and dedication, Feonix stepped in by providing a complimentary mobility wallet—covering the cost of her rides for two full weeks. It was a small gesture with a big impact, ensuring she stayed on track with her goals and responsibilities.

Moved by her perseverance and potential, the organization’s director stepped forward with a remarkable offer—to fund Deja’s rides through the remainder of her semester.
With this act of kindness, another mobility wallet was activated through Feonix, fully covered by Vision Haywood. This collaborative effort ensured Deja could continue focusing on her studies, her daughter’s development, and building a better life—without the burden of transportation costs.
