Peter Appel has more than 30 years of experience in the transportation industry and he served as the Administrator of the US Department of Transportation’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration, where he led major safety management initiatives along with R&D on technologies to advance transportation safety and efficiency.
Colleen is responsible for building strategic partnerships with nonprofit, government organizations and fostering employee performance development by applying Toyota Driving Performance Principles and creating initiatives in alignment with Toyota’s Global 2020 Vision, which aims to “Lead the way to the future of mobility, enriching lives around the world with safe and responsible ways of moving people.”
Ms. Castillo served as the Vice President of Transportation for UnitedHealth Group. She currently is a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc., the United Way of Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, the National Urban Fellows, and the American Health Insurance
Crissy Ditmore is a Principal with Spartan Edge Consulting LLC. As a 15-year transportation industry veteran, she focuses on solutions for mobility for all, and breaking down barriers to quality of life that limited mobility can create. She currently serves on APTA’s Technology Standards Policy and Planning committee.
Shawn is a national leader in developing transportation solutions which are consistent with existing community values. Shawn is the vice president and a principal owner of CBB Transportation Engineers + Planners, where he manages day to day project delivery and business development efforts.
John Peracchio provides strategic consulting services in the intelligent transportation systems (“ITS”) sector and automotive industry for strategic and investor clients. Mr. Peracchio has been active with the Intelligent Transportation Society of America, an association of public and private entities operating in the ITS and vehicle infrastructure integration space around the world.
Dr. Ipek Nese Sener’s research focus lies at the intersection of social, behavioral, and data sciences and brings together the elements of mobility, safety, equity, health, and technology. Dr. Sener is a Faculty Affiliate at the Texas A&M Center for Population Health and Aging and in the editorial board of the International Professional Association for Transport and Health (IPATH).
