Michigan Mobility Wallet Challenge

Available In:
Jackson, Hillsdale, Kent, Lenawee, and Wayne Counties

What It Is:
Mobility Wallets give people the funds they need to access local transportation. You can use these funds through a mobile app, an online portal, or by calling our support center.

Eligibility & Signup:
To qualify for Mobility Wallet funding, you need to be a Veteran or live in a low-income household.

  • Veterans: If you’re a Veteran and want to join the program, please call 1 (800) 810-7696. Our agents at the Community Operations Support Center will help you sign up for the Michigan Mobility Wallet.

  • Low-Income Households: If you live in a low-income household, you’ll need a referral from one of our Community Referral Partners to join the program.

What It Is:
Provides fare-free transportation to and from all vaccinations and boosters for Washtenaw County residents.

Eligibility & Signup:
We provide rides for COVID-19 testing, vaccine or booster appointments, other vaccines or boosters, follow-up healthcare visits, pharmacy trips, and caregiver transportation. To get a ride for a vaccination or booster, please call (734) 259-4125.

What It Is:
Provides fare-free rides to the grocery store. This initiative helps combat food deserts and builds social connections, ensuring everyone has access to nutritious food and the opportunity to lead a healthy, fulfilling life.

What It Is:
Offers fare-free transportation to access basic needs for individuals in low-income households needing perinatal care (from pregnancy through 18 months after birth).

To join the program, you must be referred by one of these organizations in Wayne County: A Girl Like Me, Henry Ford Health, or Black Family Development.

What It Is:
This initiative offers people the chance to enroll in our automotive subscription program of $399/month, primarily for employment purposes.

The lease includes vehicle maintenance and monthly payments, helping individuals plan for long-term mobility. The vehicle can be leased for up to one year.

Eligibility & Signup:
To join the Elevate initiative, you need a referral from a partner agency, such as United Way of Southeastern Michigan or LM Manufacturing.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be employed
  • Have a credit score of 500 or higher
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
