Announcing New Members and Officers to Feonix Board of Directors

With experts in transportation engineering, mobility as a service, managed care, NEMT, and community development, Feonix is reimagining mobility.

Lincoln, Nebraska. — During its annual board of directors meeting, Feonix – Mobility Rising, a national non-profit dedicated to bringing transportation to people who need it most, elected its officers Flora M. Castillo as President, Pete Costello as Vice President and Treasurer, John Peracchio as Secretary, and welcomed industry leaders Crissy Ditmore and Peter Appel, to its Board of Directors.

“I am delighted that Crissy and Peter are joining our board and bringing their enthusiasm and industry expertise to further Feonix’s mission of deploying innovative mobility solutions for every community and all people,” said Board President, Castillo. “Since our inception in 2018, our team has been dedicated to solving the complex transportation challenges in the communities we serve, and our board’s commitment has enabled Feonix’s strategic growth-to-date.”

Mr. Appel joins the board with extensive transportation industry, policy, regulatory, and IT experience. He is currently Director at the management consulting firm, AlixPartners. He led significant safety management initiatives along with R&D on technologies to advance  transportation safety and efficiency during his prior role as Administrator of the US Department of Transportation’s Research and Innovative Technology Administration.

Ms. Ditmore joins the board as 15-year transportation industry veteran and current Chair of the Mobility on Demand (MOD) Alliance Public Policy committee and serves on American Public Transportation Association’s (APTA) Technology Standards Policy and Planning committee. Ms. Ditmore is a Principal with Spartan Edge LLC, a consulting firm with expertise in policy, strategy, and business development.

Established in 2018, Feonix – Mobility Rising strives to be a leader in identifying improved mobility solutions for rural and urban communities. As a non-profit organization, Feonix has guided local leaders as they develop community-led strategies to address long-term mobility challenges that threaten their cherished communities. Feonix helps communities and partners integrate emerging technologies into local transportation ecosystems. Feonix currently operates in 378 communities in Michigan, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin.
